W czasie seminarium zaprezentujemy postawę Natalii LL oraz innych artystek neoawangardy, które włączały w obszar sztuki swoje doświadczenie transformując je jednocześnie w wypowiedzi o charakterze bardziej uniwersalnym, inspirowane m.in. założeniami i problemami jakimi zajmował się ówczesny ruch feministyczny. Przedstawimy też artystki tworzące od kooca lat 90. a zainspirowane esejem “Szczeliny istnienia” Jolanty Brach-Czainy. Te dwa teksty łączy przede wszystkim myśl, że uczestniczenie w rzeczywistości może prowadzid do doświadczeo natury transcendentnej lub do refleksji nad funkcjonowaniem człowieka we współczesnym świecie, a w szczególności nad pozycją i rolą kobiety.

During the seminar, we will present the approach of Natalia LL and other neo-avant-garde women artists who incorporated their own experience into their art, while transforming it at the same time into universal statements, inspired by principles and problems addressed by the feminist movement, among other phenomena. We will also showcase women artists active since the end of the 1990s and inspired by Jolanta Brach-Czaina’s essay Szczeliny Istnienia [Cracks in Existence]. The main common denominator between the two is the thought that participation in reality may lead to transcendent experience and to reflection on the way humans function in the contemporary world, with a particular focus on the position and role of women.
